WIFE, MOTHER, Author & GREAT COOK
Hi my friend,
Just a note about my life journey–
Lyme disease robbed me of my health, but by the grace of God, it couldn’t touch my spirit. When I got sick in the early 2000’s, I was forced to retire from a successful thirty-year career as an interior designer.
Confined to bed and in severe pain, I think I might have lost my mind had I not started writing. It literally saved my life. It gave me a purpose to keep living, to keep dreaming.
In my stories, I write about women who overcome difficult circumstances drawing from my own dark days. Now, I can write a new chapter, propped up on pillows, and be happy as a little clam. What the enemy meant for evil, God used for good.
Life is hard, but God is good. It’s my passion to help and encourage other women to be overcomers, resilient and to choose to live a life full of joy regardless of their circumstances.

My latest book is a finalist in the ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers) Genesis contest. We’re not allowed to publish the name until after the conference in San Antonio at the end of September. But I’m excited to tell you more about it after the winner has been announced.
From My Heart
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness," Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9

You got it right. Chicken confit--not duck. We were having our supper club over last week and I wanted to cook something a bit different. I thought of duck confit, which I adore, with it's crispy skin and melting tender meat. But it's hard to find...
In the midst of the Christmas season. I’ve been running around trying to get everything done, checking off my to-do list. Whew! I’m tired. This morning, I sat down at Starbucks, and as I sipped my cappuccino, I gazed at the steeple on the church across the...
A friend shared this recipe with me and raved about it, so I gave it a try. But, instead of giving me a regular recipe with ingredients and an instruction list, she said, "Do this, then add that, then do this, etc." I was a bit confused, so after I plowed my way...
I love gnocchi! The Italian Barrel, an authentic Italian restaurant on the corner of Chartres and Barracks in New Orleans, makes these little pillows of heaven with a parmesan Romano cream sauce. I've tried many...
We love Chicken Piccata, but the rich, buttery sauce that is normally served with it doesn't help when it comes to weight control. Amy Ramsey, at The Fit Soul has come up with a slimmed down version that's heavy on flavor. I will definitely make this dish again....
